Top 10 Exercises for Everyone - AR Tech
1. Pilates
Welcome to the very first exercise of the seven-day workout challenge. If you're new welcome, if you're not then good to see you again.
We are going to start with your feet or hip wide apart slightly bending your nose heels and reaching those arms up to the sky. Grab your left arm take a deep inhale reach a couple of inches up and then reach over to the right. We're just going to start off with a little stretch just warming up that body and feeling that nice stretch into the left side.
Take a deep enough through the nose and exhale through the mouth and come back through the middle switch. This hand reaches a couple of inches up and then reaches over to the other side and feels that nice extension onto the side throughout this workout.
I want you to really focus on that breath and really focus on that Mind-Body Connection and what that means is to really think and engage with that muscle that you're working. So reaching back bend the knees and reaching arms and we're coming into a couple of squats standing squats right here and every time we're coming back up. We're just warming up that lower body here, it will be a quick and effective workout.
2. Pull up
It's one of our favorite upper body exercises. It's definitely one that shows how much upper body strength you have specified in your lats. So let's start, grip just about shoulder width or slightly wider and you're going to be hanging from the bar and it's pretty simple.
So grip strength is very important especially if you want to start repping out more than even one rep five reps 10 reps and so on.
Unfortunately, you're not gonna be able to do a pull-up so implementing. It hangs into your training. It's gonna be very important to get used to that and also just kind of getting comfortable in this position and supporting yourself. your body weight not only your grip but kind of your shoulders as well and kind of just kind of feel that weight on.
They're getting a lot more serious with my training lately. I've realized that grip strength plays a huge role not only in pull-ups but in every exercise and I never really realized how much I was lacking in that area. So I'm definitely working on a lot more for increasing my pull-ups.
3. Burpees
The technique of the exercise is to alternately change several positions. With the proper technique, all the major muscles of the body are included in the work.
Burpees are a functional exercise that combines elements of squats, planks, push-ups, and jumps. When performing the exercise, the muscles of the abdomen, legs, chest, and upper back receive a load.
Another benefit is the improved ability to synchronize movements. Burpees strengthen the cardiovascular system, increase the supply of oxygen to the organs, and improve muscle tone and the ability to maintain correct posture. Burpee is an effective bodyweight strength exercise and it doesn't require any additional equipment.
The burpee is an exercise with a global impact on the body. In fact, this exercise includes four elements: squat, plank, push-up, and jump. It combines the work of several muscle groups at once. The quads work both in flexion and extension.
The biceps also work on extension and flexion under their own weight. The pectoral muscles, gluteal muscles, abs, back muscles, and shoulders work on transverse flexion and extension. In addition to the muscular core, burpees increase endurance, accelerate metabolism, and develop the cardiovascular system.
You can always make burpees easier by eliminating push-ups or jump-ups. In addition, the burpee is super effective for weight loss. 20 repetitions of burpees burn about 15 kilocalories. Metabolism is accelerated, the body warms up very quickly from constant changes in positions. Also, burpees have a beneficial effect on the development of core muscles.
These are the muscles that are located in the pelvis, abdomen, and lower back. They form the core necessary to maintain the balance of the human body. Burpees develop the strength and speed qualities of an athlete, develop flexibility, improve coordination, balance, and endurance, fix posture and maintain back muscles in a good shape.
4. Biceps
The bicep exercises fill in all the gaps and actually put the science behind the selection of those exercises to make sure that you're not missing out in any of the areas where you could use more help.
I'm going to show you how to take that to another level, but the cheek curl is one that I've been preaching here for a very long time because of its benefits. How is it different? Well, what you see here is that I'm allowing a little bit of momentum to help me to get the weight up but only if you're using the weight that's heavier than you're used to potentially using on a regularly performed barbell curl.
In other words what you can concentrically lift we're going to take care of that again. I said that in a different exercise where we want to take advantage of the fact that our muscles are stronger eccentrically than they are concentric.
Now keep in mind when I go up into this sort of cheap portion here, I'm making sure not to break the vertical what I mean by that is I have this imaginary vertical line behind my body. I'm not breaking through it and actually leaning backward through it because I'm taking away a lot of the work of the biceps in order to do that and I'm now at this point simply just heaving the weight you got to be able to stop that momentum at vertical and let the biceps do the work.
5. Squat
How to do squats? Squats help strengthen your glutes, quadriceps, and your hamstrings. For a basic squat start with your legs just about shoulder width apart and lifts your arms up in front of you for balance. Make sure that when you sit down in a squat position, your knees do not collapse.
You can start with three sets with at least 10 reps in the first set 12 reps in the second set and 15 reps in the third set. You can always increase the number of sets or reps as you graduate through the exercise with proper form.
You will eventually build up strength and endurance once your stamina increases you can also hold the squat position for a few seconds and do pulses. So the beauty of this exercise is you need no equipment all you need is you so get to it.
Stay fit! stay safe!
6. Deadlift
Once you master it you're going to move more weight on this exercise than you do on any exercise in the gym. We're going to show you all the things you need to know about it right now.
Go down let's go get that bar using a nice overhand grip where you want to stay in that overhand grip. You want to train from this overhand position as much as you possibly can.
Now no also his back position his hips are lower than his shoulders. The one thing you're going to see a lot of people do. You're going to see their hips higher than their shoulders than you're lifting with your lower back. Now he's going to set his last think about squeezing.
Your shoulder blades together he's going to pull the slack out of the bar next, this is another little way to help set your lats to keep your back involved in this because remember you don't want your shoulders hanging out to dry to lift this weight.
So he's got that nice core position and now lifts that weight right up and squeezes his glutes at the top note that you're going to see a lot of people overextend show them what that looks. You don't want to do that you want to stay nice and smooth just squeeze your glutes at the top and in a good position that's a deadlift put it right back down.
7. Cardio
We're going to take you through a full-body cardio workout. So you don't need any equipment for this workout but you will need a towel just because you're going to sweat. You will need a water bottle and a soft surface like a yoga mat yeah. So we're gonna do two separate groups of five exercises. All right, we're gonna do each exercise for 20 seconds no rest in between but we are going to do each group for three total sets.
So we'll make sure to give you a 30-second rest in between each set. All right, and we're also going to finish the workout with a little ab burner at the end. All right so if you need a little warm-up before you start to be sure to stretch otherwise, let's get into it.
Our first exercise is going to be a high knee. I will be providing the modifications for all the exercises. All right, so getting started with the high knee in five seconds. All right, we're still doing high knees just marching a little slower trying to drive our knees up as high as we can. This is the first exercise.
All right, next exercise, let's go bounce so if you're following me very similar to a high knee just added a bounce at the bottom yep.
All right, next exercise, lateral balance from side to side we're also bounding side to side but using our foot adds a little balance in the back.
All right, the last exercise, we're gonna do an icky shuffle side to side. We're also doing the same thing slow it down. All right, that'll do it first setdown is good. So we're gonna take a 30-second break here. We're gonna repeat that two more times yes so this is all about how many reps you can get in those 20 seconds for each exercise.
8. Push-ups
Push-ups are one of the best exercises and most people do push-ups very fondly. The movement is simple and can be done everywhere.
Let's start straight with number 1.
2. The second point is the arm position. It doesn't matter what is your arm position during push-ups.
3. The third one is the range of motion. This is quite simple. Just don't cheat. In this step, one should keep his body straight. You should not minimize the range of motion, if you minimize you will not be able to benefit from this exercise.
4. The last one is the movement of the shoulder. This is a very neglected point. Make sure that your shoulder should be in the right position so that you may be benefited.
But don't forget this still difference between a passive and an active way of shoulder blade movements. When you're going down, always focus on the tension and active shoulder blade movement.
If you consider all those points and try them on your own, you will notice that it's much harder to do.
9. Jumping Jacks
In order to lose weight through exercise, it's important that we perform cardiovascular routines. This routine is gonna focus on getting the heart rate up for 30 seconds, then bring it back down with some toning moves.
My research has shown that if you use your time efficiently and effectively, then you will see results. So we're gonna be doing 30 seconds jump jacks and then we're gonna be doing 30 seconds with a toning exercise. So the first move is just simple jumping jacks. You can go as quick or as slow as you want with this movement but just make sure that you're getting your hands to touch as close as possible, core engaged.
Next, we're going into just bringing those knees towards the elbow while you guys are standing. So just cross-over. So crunch down, crunch down.
Let's go straight down to the floor into a plank position. Keep the back nice and straight and focus on something just in front of you. Hold this pose. That's it, remember to breathe.
Excellent, the next move is arm circles. Let's reverse them back now. Back into those jumping jacks.
10. Lunges
How to do lunges? Lunges are another effective lower body exercise. Lunges help develop your glutes, hamstrings, and your quadriceps. The secondary muscle involved is the calf muscles starting with your legs hip-width apart hands on your side or on your waist to maintain balance. Now with one leg either left or right whichever is convenient you take a step forward than both your knees at approximately 90 degrees.
This exercise follows similar principles as a squat but in this case, you focus on one leg at a time. When you lunge the thigh is parallel to the floor the other leg must be stretched back just enough to give you balance to bring you back to the standing or the neutral position.
Make sure when you lunge your knee is behind your toes and your posture is maintained the other knee must be slightly above the ground. The important part of this exercise is the breathing you breathe in when you lunge you breathe out when you come up you may repeat the lunges.
Do lunges with numbers it's always important to stick to the form they go we had lunged for you today you can always add weights to this exercise or Chinese and variations of the exercise to maintain the right form.
Stay fit stay safe, this is awesome.
